Last week we brought you our first-hand racing experience from day 1 & 2 of the 2018 York Enduro. This week, we've handed the racing duties back to the corporate's and pro's as we bring you an action-packed, highlights-style showcase of what went down on days 3 & 4. With cooler weather moving in overnight, day 3's dual slalom was no walk in the park. With slick conditions, a stacked field and everything to play for, this was definitely one of the most excited races we've seen to date! Day 4 was all about the cross-country and with a fantastic course on offer, the pro's went about their duties in a guns-blazing fashion. Throw in a bit of team-relay spice and a wheelie-off and once again, there was plenty of entertainment on offer. After an incredible four days of mountain-biking in some spectacular surroundings, all that was left was to do was give back to this sport we all love so much. Lead by York Timbers, groups of pro's and corporate's gathered at the local Sabie community schools to share the ride with young pupils and avid two-wheeled fans. Simply put, smiles for miles! In closing, the York Enduro truly is a remarkable experience and we consider ourselves extremely privileged to have been apart of this year's event. To Piet, Odette and the rest of the York Timbers team, thank you for the unbelievable hospitality and riding experience. We'll definitely be back for more. To our corporate friends and fans out there, if you get the opportunity to enter a team into the York Enduro then be sure to do so! Hopefully our two-episode experience paints the kind of picture that gets you as excited as we did about this unique event!

Pre hopping a mountain bike is a useful skill that allows you to maintain speed and flow on a trail. Using natural trail features to clear obstacles, drops, knuckles and technical sections into a controlled landing is an essential skill for advanced mountain bikers. Depending on the type of obstacle or lip you can even bunnyhop into it, and use the transition to pump your bike and gain speed. Getting this skill nailed will not only make you a faster and more controlled rider, but it also looks super cool.

Racing at La Bresse was savage. The course is the shortest on the circuit but the first rainy race of the season was absolutely brutal! Luckily the team’s training in the harsh Welsh environment stood them in massively good stead! This is one for the family album with a spectacular win for Rachel earning her a record-smashing 6th overall title and a nail-biting second for Gee that saw him second to our former atherton academy protegee and close friend Martin Maes which shows he’s right back where he should be. The Juniors both scored solid podiums in third, Charlie put his qualification tension behind him with 29th place and we were team of the day!

The final of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Series took place in La Bresse France this past weekend. The downhill race was full of surprises and created one of the most suspenseful finishes for the men’s race for some time. Rachel Atherton claimed a record 6th World Cup Championship win too! The XCO World Cup Final was taken by none other than Nino Schurter, who has dominated this season. Jolanda Neff came back from two punctures to take the win in the women’s race, and claiming the overall in the process!

Welcome to Boschendal. This wine farm located on the outskirts of Stellenbosch houses a hand full of fun MTB trails suited for all skill levels. Today I'm taking you down a trail called Inferno. If you look closely you'll see why. A few years ago Cape Town was plagued with fires during the summer and many of our forests & trails were burnt in those fires. A fire pulled into this area and burnt through a section of the Blue Gum trees and therefore they named the trail "Inferno". It's quite a climb to get to the start so if you plan on riding here, bring those climbing legs with.
